Concept
Venture into an abandoned mineshaft haunted by curses.
Role
I conceptualised the entire scene, from prop designs, to scene layout, to modelling, as well as implementation within a game environment.
Designs
To first conceptualise the environment, I had done a small layout sketch, then quickly built a greybox scene in Unity. The greybox screenshots were then used as a base for paintovers, with me incorporating elements from New Zealand’s Waitomo Caves and existing abandoned mineshafts in the design of the hoist and set dressing.






Production
To build the scene, I had sculpted rocks with LOD groups and created material mask maps to implement a layered material shader in Unity’s URP renderer.
